According to reports, the Connecticut-based financier jumped to his death from the rooftop of Bar 54 in front of at least two witnesses who were present alongside him at the bar. After jumping from the rooftop, the 46-year-old founder landed on the street below and was pronounced dead at the scene. Thus, the cause of Dale Cheney’s death was suicide.

This is not the first such case; in October 2022, a 26-year-old aspiring model took her own life after jumping from the same rooftop bar. She landed on a balcony on the 27th floor of the building but did not survive.
