Know more about Urothelial Carcinoma

Urothelial carcinoma, also known as transitional cell carcinoma, is a type of cancer that originates in the cells lining the innermost layer of the bladder, ureters (the tubes that connect the kidneys to the bladder), and the renal pelvis (the part of the kidney that collects urine). These cells, known as urothelial cells, have the ability to stretch and accommodate changes in urine volume.

Urothelial carcinoma can occur in different parts of the urinary tract, but it is most commonly associated with bladder cancer. However, it can also affect the kidneys and ureters. The cancer typically begins as abnormal growths or tumors in the urothelial lining and can vary in severity from low-grade (less aggressive) to high-grade (more aggressive).
Factors that increase the risk of developing urothelial carcinoma include smoking, exposure to certain chemicals, chronic bladder inflammation, and certain genetic conditions. Symptoms may include blood in the urine, frequent urination, pain or discomfort during urination, and lower back pain.

The treatment for urothelial carcinoma depends on factors such as the stage and grade of the cancer, as well as the patient’s overall health. Treatment options can include surgery to remove tumors or affected tissue, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and immunotherapy. Early detection and proper management are crucial for the best possible outcomes in treating urothelial carcinoma.

  1. To say I have a heavy heart is an absolute understatement!! I knew Freddie was battling cancer and hopefully he passed peacefully. I’ve only known Freddie for 3 years and what a 3 years it was. I’m a retired Dj. I put my 30+ years in and said enough. One day browsing through you tube I listened to several mixes of his and I was flabbergasted to say the least. He was the most unique visionary of classic tracks that I’ve ever heard in my life. I’ve went through them all. Hot Tracks, Ultimix, Wicked Mix etc. You name I got it. Once I listened to Freddie mastery’s I was hooked. I found out how to make contact and proceeded to get my hands on every track I could. I even had Freddie do about 30 or so tracks for me. I didn’t care about cost. Every day I would wait around til 4pm for the releases. You see I had nothing positive happening in my life. Freddie’s masterpieces gave me purpose. I have no doubt that I have well above 1500 of his tracks. I even put the headphones on and did a classics and Latin freestyle night. The crowds enjoyed his tracks and people would ask where they can get them and I directed them to Freddy. In the 3 years I not once spoke to Freddy on the phone. The closest I got to talk to him was on Twitch. He had his shepherd with him and I threw Freddy some extra cheese and told him to buy the dog a steak. He appreciated that.
The past few months was very difficult as we both were going through health issues. The emails started to not be returned and I got this bad feeling. In a previous email he went into detail and explained what he was up against and my heart was in my throat. I felt terrible as all I can do is tell him to fight the fight. His fight is now over. The arduous task of fighting is now over. If I know Freddie he’s in Dj heaven spinning to all the good party people. Be at piece my good friend. I’m crying like a baby and I never met you. That’s the type of influence you had in my life.
