Earl Young Jr. Identified as the Man Killed in Henrico Shooting
Earl Young Jr, 44, has been identified as the victim of the Henrico County, Virginia shooting that took place on Sunday, August 20, 2023, near Williamsburg Road. The local police responded to the intersection of Emporia Street and Hillbrook Avenue, in eastern Henrico at about 9 PM.
They were called following reports of what was described as a ‘suspicious situation’ when several citizens hear several gunshot sounds and screaming noises. Upon reaching the Henrico-Richmond line, police found the corpse of Earl Young Jr.
According to the police, Earl Young Jr. was shot in the 4800 block of Hillbrook Avenue, near its intersection with Hillbrook Avenue in Eastern Henrico, just after 9 PM. Due to multiple gunshot wounds, Earl Young Jr. died at the scene.
The police also witnessed a group of males running from a yard and fleeing in vehicles before they located Young in a yard lying lifeless with apparent gunshot wounds.
Another man was shot in Henrico-Richmond Line Shooting
Apart from Earl Young Jr., another was shot in the Henrico-Richmond line shooting that took place this past Sunday. The unidentified man approached the police and reported that he had also been shot. No personal details are available about him at this time.
He reportedly had a gunshot wound on his hip. He was rushed to a local hospital where he got treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. His condition is fine at the time of this writing. No other person was injured in the deadly shooting.
