On February 18, 2023, the world lost a bright and shining star. Hayden Robert Hitchcock, a beloved son, brother, and friend from Saegertown, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 21. Hayden’s life was marked by his unwavering passion for the outdoors, music, weightlifting, fast cars, and his beloved Pittsburgh sports teams. In this article, we celebrate Hayden’s life and the impact he had on those around him.
Who was Hayden Robert?
Hayden was born on January 7, 2002, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to his proud parents Amanda Pauline Rhoades and Jeremy Seth Hitchcock. From a young age, Hayden’s adventurous spirit was evident, and he was always eager to explore the outdoors. As he grew older, his love for hunting, fishing, and riding his side-by-side only intensified. Hayden’s brothers, Jordan Rhoades and Hunter Joliet, were his constant companions on these outdoor adventures, and the bond they shared was unbreakable.
Hayden was also deeply passionate about music and weightlifting. He spent hours listening to his favorite bands, playing guitar, and perfecting his lifting technique. He was dedicated to pushing himself to be the best version of himself physically and mentally, always striving for excellence.
Hayden’s love for fast cars was another defining aspect of his life. He was an avid car enthusiast and spent countless hours tinkering with his own car and attending car shows. His love for speed was only surpassed by his devotion to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins, two teams he cheered on with unwavering loyalty.
A Loving Son, Brother, and Friend
Despite his many passions, Hayden’s greatest love was for his family and friends. He had a heart of gold and was always there for those in need. His infectious smile and zest for life lit up every room he entered, and his genuine kindness and warmth made him beloved by all who knew him.
Hayden’s passing has left a void in the lives of those who loved him, including his mother Amanda and her husband Josh, his father Jeremy and his fiancé Emily Grace, his maternal grandmother Mary Jo Humes, his paternal grandparents Robert and Emmy Hitchcock and Judith Rodgers and Gary, his aunt Meiling Hitchcock, and his step-grandparents Mike Stallard and Debra and Rick and Deb Rhoades. Although Hayden’s life was cut tragically short, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
