Three 6 Mafia is a Memphis-based hip-hop crew and she was the group’s second female member after K-9. Boo has worked with artists including Run The Jewels, Blood Orange, Gucci Mane, Clipping, and others more recently. A new project dubbed “The BooPrint” is purportedly in the works with a 2023 release date.

Who Was Gangsta Boo?

Gangsta Boo was born on 7 August 1979, in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. When she was only 15 years old, Gangsta Boo joined Three 6 Mafia after attracting DJ Paul’s notice during a school talent contest. Boo rose to fame in the 1990s as a Three 6 Mafia member, recording rhymes for their 1995 debut album Mystic Styelz at the age of just 15.

She began her solo career in 1998 with the release of “Enquiring Minds,” and she continued to collaborate with the group on a number of significant albums. Boo has also worked with notable rap artists like Eminem, Gucci Mane, and The Game. She appeared on Foxy Brown’s 1999 album Chyna Doll and OutKast’s ground-breaking 2000 album Stankonia before departing Three 6 Mafia.

She shared the stage with Run the Jewels at the 2015 Coachella music festival. Her collaboration with GloRilla and Latto on the song “F*** the Club Up” saw the release of its music video in the middle of December 2022. In order to concentrate on her solo career, she severed relations with Three 6 Mafia in 2001. During that period, she released the albums “Both Worlds *69” and “Enquiring Minds II: The Soap Opera” (2003).

What Happened To Gansta Boo After Concert?

The sources stated that Gangster Boo had been at a concert in Memphis with her brother who reportedly needed medical attention after allegedly taking an overdose of drugs.

It has been reported that witnesses to Gangsta Boo’s death scene insist she had drugs on her person and that a fentanyl-laced substance is thought to be the culprit. An official autopsy is still needed to determine the cause of death, and police are apparently looking into the event.

Gangsta Boo, a rapper and member of Three 6 Mafia, unfortunately, passed away on Sunday, January 1st, 2022. At about 4 p.m., her body was discovered in her house. Boo’s brother said that she overdosed while performing the night before at a gathering in Memphis. She apparently experienced a cardiac and was then rushed to the hospital.

Three6Mafia’s CEO, DJPaul, confirmed this tragic news by posting Instagram tributes to Gangsta Boo. As of now, the cause of death for Memphis rapper Gangsta Boo is still unknown.

However, according to other sources, the manner in which she passed away suggested that drugs or a product tainted with fentanyl may have contributed to her demise. An autopsy report is awaited in order to determine the exact cause of her death. The police have already begun their inquiry.

She received tributes on social media from a number of well-known musicians, including DJ Paul, a record producer. Boo was captured by Paul in a photo working on some DJ gear while wearing black attire.
