Michael McCabe, also known as “Pitbull” among the Knights of the Inferno Motorcycle Club, was well-known and loved in the Bayville community. He was a life member of the Bayville Volunteer Emergency Medical Services and was highly regarded for his positive personality that lit up a room.
McCabe was also an active member of various emergency service organizations and was known for his passion for helping others. He always kept a positive outlook on life, and his community-first mentality will be greatly missed.

Many people are in mourning following the terrible passing of Michael McCabe, a well-known resident of the Bayville neighborhood. The evening of January 30, 2023, McCabe was killed in a collision on Route 9 in Forked River, close to Sunrise Boulevard. McCabe was riding his motorcycle on the road when a car driven by Anne Danza of Forked River made a turn into a parking area.
Despite the best efforts of RWJ Paramedics and Lacey Township EMS, McCabe was unable to survive the injuries she sustained in the collision. The collision investigation, which is still ongoing, also received assistance from the CSI Unit of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office. The neighborhood has not yet announced McCabe’s funeral services; it was renowned for his upbeat disposition and optimistic outlook on life.
