Terry Edward Hall was born on March 19, 1959, in Coventry, Warwickshire, England. The Automatics, who later became The Specials, were founded in 1977. Terry joined the group in 1979, taking Tim Strickland’s place as the vocalist. Following their live tour support of the Clash, the 2 Tone Band gained notoriety. The singer came into the mainstream media in the 1970s and 1980s with classic singles, including Gangsters, Ghost Town, and Too Much Too Young.
