If I complained about the economy, he laughed kindly and said “I’m so glad I’m poor, its more blessed then worrying all the time!” and would constantly help dial me down from thoughts spinning out of control. I had no idea he was a former skate legend, he was continually humble about himself and loved serving in the Church – he was a Orthodox Christian Reader.
