Police initially ruled out foul play because they thought she had fallen into the River Wyre close to where her phone was discovered.
Officers suspect Bulley, a mother-of-two, fell into the River Wyre on the day in question in a “10-minute window” between 9:10 am and 9:20 am after dropping her two girls, ages six and nine, off at school and leaving for a stroll.
Peter Faulding, who aided the police in a specialized search of the river, is currently looking for potential burial sites for her. The forensic specialist intends to search the area around Nicola’s last known location for potential “deposition sites.”
