Who was Sam Knight?

Sam Knight was a passionate cyclist and inventor who came up with the idea for Jigsaw Jumps during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the lockdown restrictions in place, people were looking for ways to stay entertained and get some exercise. Sam’s homemade prototype jump quickly gained popularity when he tested it in a local park, attracting curious kids who encouraged him to take it to the next level.

The concept of Jigsaw Jumps centered around creating modular, portable ramps for bike enthusiasts. Sam’s initial ‘backyard’ prototype was the first step towards turning his vision into a reality. He realized that there was a market demand for such products, and with the help of his partner Vicky, they started producing the jumps on a larger scale. The result was a groundbreaking Australian cycling brand that brought joy and excitement to many.

Jigsaw Jumps gained popularity quickly as more and more people discovered Sam’s creation. The company’s social media presence helped to spread the word about their product, and soon they were shipping jumps all over Australia. Sam’s passion and commitment to his product were evident in the high-quality ramps that Jigsaw Jumps produced. The company also earned praise for its eco-friendly approach, using sustainable materials to create their products.

Tragic news. When I met Sam at Crankworx last year it was clear he loved what he was doing and was pouring so much of himself into it. I don’t think anyone will ever know the joy he helped bring to so many kids with Jigsaw Jumps event setups. Condolences to his family.
