“As we grapple with the overwhelming sadness of her loss, we simultaneously celebrate the extraordinary life she led, the countless battles she conquered, and the enduring impact she made on this world.”

“As a journalist, she was par excellence. She was going to the nth degree to make sure she is accurate.” She remembers Kaila as a hard-working person who always gave her best and had a special skill of making friends wherever she went.

“She brought a bright light to our newsroom, and not only is this a huge loss to CBC, but it is also a huge loss to the media industry,” he said.

“Kuljeet was a kind, warm person and had a terrific presence both on and off the air. Her voice connected with people and her passing will be felt not only by audiences but also by the close teams and colleagues she worked with at CBC.”
